Here at Animal Land Children's Farm, we're all about creating unforgettable experiences where kids can connect with nature, learn about farm life, and make furry friends along the way. For over 30 years, we've been welcoming families to our Diggers Rest haven, just a short drive from Melbourne's CBD, for hands-on fun with cows, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs, and more. Whether it's a weekend visit, a school excursion, or a birthday party, our goal has always been to inspire the next generation of animal lovers while providing a safe, educational, and joyful environment.
That's why we're absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news: Animal Land Children's Farm has been nominated for the 2025 Northern Business Achievement Awards (NBAA)! This prestigious recognition celebrates innovation, growth, and excellence among small to medium businesses across Melbourne's north, and we're honored to be part of it.
The nomination was highlighted at the NBAA September event on Thursday, September 4, 2025, hosted by Darebin City Council and Hume City Council at the Novotel Melbourne Preston. We were in great company alongside other inspiring nominees like A Blanck Canvas, Your Community Health, Huracan Fabrication, and Young Business Achiever Anastasia Sarikizis from New Plumbing Solutions. The event featured insightful discussions on the political landscape and its impact on business, with keynote speakers Kosmos Samaras and Tony Barry sharing their expertise.
This nomination is a testament to the hard work of our dedicated team, the support of our wonderful visitors, and our commitment to evolving as a family-friendly destination. From our self-paced farm walks and animal interactions to special events during school holidays, we've strived to make every visit magical. It's especially meaningful as we continue to grow, with recent additions like more interactive sessions and our focus on sustainability and education.
While the grand finale gala—where overall winners will be announced—is set for December 4, 2025, being nominated already feels like a win. It motivates us to keep pushing boundaries and delivering the best possible experiences for you and your little ones.
